Ask for a volunteer (preferably a non-pregnant participant, especially if they’ll lie on their back for the activity).
-
Distribute all the C-Birth Prep Cards to the rest of the group.
-
Invite each participant to read their card aloud, then clip or “pin” their card onto the volunteer where they think that item or procedure applies (e.g., heart monitor on chest, blood pressure cuff on arm).
-
Once all cards are placed, review as a group, correcting placement and discussing each item’s function.
-
Conclude with a group reflection on how understanding these steps can make a Caesarean birth feel less daunting.
-
Use the provided symbol-style birthing person outlines for participants to place and label prep items.
-
Perfect when time, space, or participant comfort limits role-play.
