Birth announcements are very precious.
As a perinatal educator and doula, I sometimes know about a baby or babies having been born or their imminent arrival before the expectant family’s loved ones.
During my time as an antenatal teacher, I have experienced some group members sharing their peers’ birth announcement on social media. Sometimes before the new family had told their loved ones. This can really upset a family and affect their friendships.
Ensure you have consent to share the birth announcement when it’s not your baby/family.
