The pictures show a cross-section of a non-pregnant female body/woman and a pregnant (late pregnancy) female body/woman. A great visual to compare and discuss changes in the female body during pregnancy.

You could ask participants to place anatomical lables on the posters to introduce and discuss pregnancy and birth related vocabulary. Or you could do a spot the difference activity and discuss how the pregnant woman/person can get more comfortable during the later stages of pregnancy…

The Pregnancy Anatomy Changes Posters are a wonderful learning aid for all antenatal settings. They encourage parents-to-be to explore the pregnant body and the anatomical changes which take place. An opportunity for birth workers to discuss and explain common discomforts during pregnancy and offer tools to keep/make their expectant parents more comfortable.

Use the anatomy posters with parents-to-be in an antenatal setting or with students in secondary school.
