The finished product is a great visual teaching aid for childbirth education. For the placenta and vein in the cord, I used Cygnet Seriously Chunky wool in ‘Plum’. This pattern uses almost two balls. It is very chunky and crochets up quickly. For the two arteries in the cord, I’ve used a light blue baby double knitting wool. You’ll need about half a ball (50g).
